Where the bids come from
JunkerClub is not a hauling company. When you post, the job goes out to independent local pros whose service area covers your address — the same companies you would find by ringing around, except they come to you and they know they are being compared.
That comparison is the whole point. A pro who is already working two streets over has almost no travel cost on your job, and it shows in what they bid. Ringing one company gets you one number with no way to tell whether it is a good one.
What moves the price
Volume first: junk removal is priced by how much room your load takes in the truck, not by weight. After that it is access — stairs, no elevator, a long carry, something that has to be taken apart. Then disposal, because a landfill charges by the ton and some items (mattresses, tires, appliances with refrigerant) carry their own fee.

When you should not book at all
Sometimes the honest answer is that you do not need us. Most cities collect bulky items at the curb for free, and a lot of people never find out because the rules are buried on a government site. If you can get the item out and the timing works, take that route.

Who gets paid, and when
You pay your pro directly when the job is done — cash or card, their terms. JunkerClub never touches that money and takes no cut of it, so the number you agreed to is the number you pay. The platform earns from the pro, once they win the job.
