A leaning, rotted fence line in El Paso, TX has to come out before a new one goes in, and fence contractors usually quote removal separately — often for more than a hauling crew charges.
Fencing is priced by the linear foot, and the number that moves it most is what the posts are set in.
Fence Removal in El Paso: what actually moves the price
At 67% detached houses, El Paso is about as easy as fence removal gets — driveway, garage door, tailgate. What moves the price here is volume rather than access, so photograph everything you want gone, not just the one item.
The median El Paso home dates to 1983. Housing of that vintage sets the practical limits on fence removal — doorway widths, stair turns and whether there is a basement in the picture at all.
Spread out as El Paso is, two pros can quote the same fence removal job very differently for no reason other than where their truck started the morning.

Fence Removal in El Paso: where the city stops and a hauler starts
The free route in El Paso has hard edges, and they are the reason people end up paying: The published price covers five cubic yards or less; beyond that each additional cubic yard is charged on top. From $35.00 for five cubic yards or less, plus a further charge for each additional cubic yard, and tax on top. The charge is billed to your El Paso Water Utilities account rather than paid at the door.
Past those limits the city is not an option at all — not slower, not pricier, simply unavailable. That is the line a hauler exists for, and it is worth knowing exactly where it sits before you start carrying anything.
Collection in El Paso is run by City of El Paso Environmental Services Department. Below is what they will take, straight from their own rules — and where each route runs out.
Booked bulky pickup
Every bulky collection: El Paso runs it as a fee-based special pickup, requested by the resident. The published price covers five cubic yards or less; beyond that each additional cubic yard is charged on top. From $35.00 for five cubic yards or less, plus a further charge for each additional cubic yard, and tax on top. Taken: appliances if empty, barbecues with the fuel and charcoal out, brush and tree trunks, carpet, doors, furniture, lumber, pallets, lawnmowers drained of fuel and oil, and mattresses and box springs. Not taken: anything with a title (cars, motorcycles, trailers, boats), commercial or industrial waste, gas cylinders, recyclable material, dirt, rocks and concrete, tires, hazardous material and used electronics.

Posts in concrete change everything
Panels come off quickly. Posts set in concrete footings have to be dug or pulled, and a hundred-foot fence has a dozen or more of them. If new posts are going in the same holes the footings must come out; if the fence line is being abandoned, cutting at grade is far cheaper. That decision belongs in the job description.
Material decides where it goes
Timber panels are bulky and go to landfill or biomass depending on treatment — pressure-treated wood cannot be composted or burned. Chain link and metal posts are scrap and offset a little of the cost. Vinyl is landfill. A mixed line is quoted at the least favourable of the three.

Fence Removal in El Paso — common questions
How much does fence removal cost in El Paso?
Most people pay $300–$800. That is a national range for fence removal, not a quote — your real price comes from local pros bidding on your photos, and it moves with volume, stairs and how far the item has to travel to the truck.
Should the fence company do it, or a hauling crew?
Get both numbers. Fence contractors often price removal as an add-on at a rate that assumes it is inconvenient; a hauling crew is doing exactly the work it does every day. Where the new fence follows the same line, though, one contractor doing both can be simpler.
What about a shared boundary fence?
Settle that with your neighbour before anyone starts. A boundary fence is frequently jointly owned and removing one without agreement is a dispute you do not want. Nothing about the removal itself is complicated; the conversation beforehand is the part people skip.
Do I need to call before digging?
Yes, if footings are coming out. Utility location is free and legally required in most states before digging, and fence lines have a habit of running near buried services. Any crew that starts digging without it is one to walk away from.
How quickly can it be picked up?
It depends on how many pros cover your area. On our first jobs the first quote arrived within one to three days, and we email you the moment one comes in. Once you pick a pro you choose the date and time window; same-day or next-day pickup is possible when a crew has room on the truck.
What does JunkerClub charge me?
Nothing. Posting a job and collecting quotes is free, and you pay your pro directly when the work is done. The pro pays the platform a small fee only when they win the job — it never gets added to your price.
Do I have to carry it outside myself in El Paso?
No — the crew does the lifting and loading, and that labour is most of what you are paying for. In El Paso 67% of homes are detached, so most jobs are a driveway carry and the truck can usually get close to the door. The median home here was built around 1983, so doorways and stairs are usually the wider post-war sizes. Say which floor it is on and whether there is a lift when you post the job; that is the part that moves the quote. Housing figures are from the U.S. Census Bureau.
What makes a junk removal quote in El Paso different from the national average?
Access and housing type, mostly. In El Paso, 67% of homes are detached and the city runs at about 2,634 residents per square mile — nearly every address has its own driveway and garage, so volume matters far more than access. Renters occupy 40% of occupied homes here, which also shapes when the work happens. The prices on this site are national ranges; the number you actually pay comes from local pros bidding on your photos. Housing figures are from the U.S. Census Bureau.
