This page says what JunkerClub collects, why, and who else sees it. It describes what the site actually does — not what a template says.
What we collect
- Your account: email address, name, phone number, and a password we store only as a hash. Companies also give a business name and a service address.
- Your job: photos, what needs removing, how much of it, access notes (stairs, elevator, parking), the pickup address and your preferred day and time.
- Quotes and messages: prices companies send you, the quote you accept, and reviews you write.
- Payment records: for companies only — which unlock fee was charged and when. Card numbers are handled by Stripe and never reach our servers.
- Usage: pages visited, and — if you arrived from an ad — which ad click brought you, so we can tell which advertising actually works.
Who sees your address
While companies are quoting they see your city and your photos — not your street address, phone number, email or name. Those are released to a single company: the one you accept, after it pays the unlock fee. Companies that did not win the job never receive them.
Company names work the same way in reverse: customers see initials until a job is won.
Who else we send data to
We do not sell your personal information. We use a small number of providers to make the site work, and each one gets only what it needs:
- Google Maps: addresses are sent to Google to turn them into map coordinates, both while you type in the address box and when a job or company profile is saved. Coordinates are how we match a job to companies nearby.
- Stripe: unlock fee payments by companies.
- Our email provider: verification codes, quote alerts and account emails.
- Twilio: text messages, when phone verification is switched on.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads: visit statistics and ad measurement. These see page visits, not your job details.
We also hand over data when the law requires it.
Your photos
Job photos are shown to companies so they can price the work, and to you on your own job page. We do not use your photos in advertising or on social media without asking you first.
Cookies
Signing in sets a cookie that keeps you signed in — without it the site cannot work. Analytics and advertising cookies measure visits and ad clicks. Your browser settings control the second group; blocking them does not stop you using JunkerClub.
How long we keep it
Account and job records are kept while your account is open, and afterwards only where we need them — tax and payment records, and enough of a job record to settle a dispute. Photos are deleted with the job.
Your choices
You can see and correct your details from your profile. You can ask us for a copy of your data, or to delete your account, from the contact page. Marketing emails always carry an unsubscribe link; verification codes and quote alerts are part of the service and cannot be switched off while your account is open.
If you live in California, you have the right to know what we collect, to have it deleted, to correct it, and not to be treated differently for asking. We do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Children
JunkerClub is not for anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
